About Doctor Nancy E. Miller-Rivero
I attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College and completed a one-year research fellowship at the National Eye Institute in ocular inflammatory disease. My ophthalmology residency was completed at the Jonas Friedenwald Eye Institute in Baltimore, Maryland; and my two-year vitreoretinal fellowship was completed at Yale University in Connecticut. I am board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and am on the medical staff at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, and Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
Our office has state-of-the-art equipment for evaluation and treatment of vitreoretinal diseases, which include multiple lasers, ultrasound, digital angiography capabilities, and OCT Imaging. Our office is also equipped to perform the latest intraocular medicine injections for macular degeneration. I perform a variety of surgical procedures in the office and hospital, included laser surgery, cryotherapy, pneumatic retinopexy, scleral buckling and vitrectomy. Should hospitalization be required, the most modern equipment, techniques, and services will be used on all procedures.
